Hey Grab Bag! Here's the news that we know you have all been waiting for: 2013 Musical Selection! We have reached our decision and are very excited to announce that Grab Bag Theater will produce Babes in Arms this year! We are doing the newer version (not the 1937), which is also called the Oppenheimer version of the show. Babes in Arms has some fantastic songs like "My Funny Valentine" and "The Lady is a Tramp." It follows the story of a group of aspiring performers putting on their own show and we can't wait to put all of our GBT energy into making this a fantastic production. More information will be released in the coming months with exact information about audition requirements and the production staff for the show, but mark your calendar for March 18th and 19th auditions!
Co-Directors: Maddie Rostami and Aliya Hasoon
Choreographers: Sarah Hoover
Music Directors: Matthew Schertler
Technical Directors: Elissa Webb and John Strebler (asst.)
Producers: Nina Lozinski and Logan Walter (asst.)
We are still looking for people interested in Stage Management, as well as an assistant choreographer and music director (aka vocals). If you are interested in either of those three positions, please send me or another board member a PRIVATE MESSAGE. We would like for the assistant music director and choreographer to be juniors or younger so they can be trained for next year and ideally the stage manager would be junior or younger, as well. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
